The 2020 MESS Elections consists of the First Year Representative and VP Academic Affairs.

The First Year Representative is responsible for representing the interests of all first-year mechanical engineering and biomedical mechanical engineering students. He/she will act as the student liaison between the students and the society while raising awareness of MESS amongst the first-year students.

The VP Academic Affairs is responsible for creating and running academic, networking, and hiring events for the members, as well as communicating academic issues to the faculty on behalf of the members. Further, he/she is responsible for creating budget proposals for each event prior to the event in question.

Should the number of no confidence votes be higher than the the vote count for the candidate with most votes for that position, no one will be elected and a bi-election will be held.
